What is Terrarium Logic?
Terrarium Logic is an enclosure monitoring and care system. It combines sensor readings, supported climate controls, history, camera viewing, and animal care records in one app.
Is Terrarium Logic available to buy?
Not yet. This page introduces the product as it develops. Pricing, the final hardware package, and ordering details will be shared when they’re ready.
Is this just a phone app?
The app is one part of the system. Enclosure monitoring and climate control need a compatible Terrarium Logic controller, wireless sensors, and supported equipment. Cameras also need to be configured separately.
Are the sensors wireless, and how long do their batteries last?
Yes. Supported temperature and humidity sensors send readings to their enclosure controller over Bluetooth, with up to one year of battery life on replaceable batteries. Actual life depends on temperature, battery quality and use. Settings > Base station & access > BLE sensors shows each assigned sensor's battery, signal strength and report ages, with a low-battery indicator at 20% or less.
Which features depend on the hardware?
The number of sensor zones, output controls, dimming, energy monitoring, and camera features depend on the setup. Energy monitoring requires compatible Matter hardware that reports power measurements. For example, a relay-based controller switches equipment on or off; dimming needs compatible dimmer hardware. Final product compatibility will be published before ordering opens.
Can I use a different dashboard or theme?
Yes. Terrarium Logic offers Calm habitat, Focused dark, and Care companion dashboards alongside the original Development view. The new dashboards support light, dark, and system themes. Existing tool screens currently retain their original dark styling.
Can I manage multiple enclosures?
Yes. Add enclosures and switch between them using the app's enclosure selector. Each habitat keeps its own settings and records. We are developing the shared-base-unit setup so additional enclosures can use their own microcontroller without needing a separate base unit.
What can I keep in the care and health logs?
The care log brings together feeding schedules, feeding entries, shedding, and notes. The health profile includes weight entries, weight history, and animal notes, so you can follow each animal over time.
Can Terrarium Logic mirror weather from a natural habitat?
You can choose a weather location, view its conditions, and enable heating targets that follow its outdoor temperature within configured minimum and maximum limits. This supports a temperature pattern inspired by that location, rather than a complete reproduction of its climate. Lighting can separately follow sunrise and sunset at the chosen location. Automatic rainfall and humidity matching are not included.
How many cameras can I use?
Terrarium Logic supports up to four 2K cameras per enclosure, so you can view different areas of each habitat in the app.
Do camera recordings need the cloud?
No. Motion-triggered camera recordings are stored locally, with optional audio. Cloud access is optional and lets you check your cameras while away from home.
Can I track energy use by outlet?
Yes, with compatible Matter power-monitoring hardware. View live power, give each outlet an editable name, and graph its estimated usage over 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Usage estimates cover recorded periods only; missing readings remain gaps.
Does this website connect to my enclosure?
No. This is a public product website. It has no device login, no connection to your enclosure, and no access to your readings or controls.
